How to make money with Instagram? Is that really possible? But first you need create your best shot and snap a photo from your Apple iPhone 4/4S, or Android smartphone like Samsung Galaxy S III using an application called Instagram.  Make it more stylish with those filtered effects, like using Kelvin or 1977 theme maybe? And then use the photo LUX effect to over-expose those under-exposed part of the photo. Then for your last touch, use the tilt-shift to give more emphasis or focus on your photo or a part of it which you want to highlight. Finally, you’re done! You can now share it with your friends on Facebook or followers on Twitter.  But where’s the money there?

Well, this is definitely not my best Instagram photo using my Samsung Galaxy S II but this was the first time I used it on my smartphone. When Instagram was first released for Android all you’ll have besides those filtered effects is the photo LUX effect then you can photo share it afterwards. The tilt-shift was not released yet when I had this picture. The real first time I have tried this app is when we had to compare Instagram on Android versus an iOS device – a Samsung Galaxy tab vs. iPod Touch 4G iOS 5.1.  The truth is, it’s really nice to have a popular and one of the best camera apps like this installed on your smartphone and now it’s even more exciting because you can make money with Instagram.

Before we go to the part where you can make money with Instagram app, let me just give you the simplest explanation why is there money from this amazing app.  Today as we know it, Instagram have gotten even bigger than before especially after Facebook’s acquisition. And because this app is so famous it’s not impossible for online marketers to make money from it.  You take a picture, enhanced it, post it either on Twitter, Facebook, etc. Then your friends will like it and then share it then their friends will also like it and share it – a never-ending “Likes”, “Shares”, and “ReTweets”. Before you know it, your photo have become viral.  And since you have just realized that you can turn something simple into one of the most liked and famous photo – then why not monetized and earn from it.

Thanks to my friend who introduced me into this online site that will help you sell those photos and make money with Instagram. This website is called IGSkins and it will help you sell those Instagram photos of yours by making them into skins.  For those of you who doesn’t know the meaning of “skin” which I have just mentioned, it is an adhesive backed vinyl cover that overlays different electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, Cell Phone, MP3 Player, portable gaming devices, etc.

IGSkins will help you create your own online photo store after you register/sign-up to their website using your Instagram account.  This online shop uses Instagram’s API that is why after you login you will have to authorize IGSkins to access your Instagram profile. It’s like when you use a Facebook app where you need to authorize them.

Then once you have login, all you have to do is setup your account information. There are a couple of fields there but most of them are social networking sites where you need to fill. As much as possible complete this page – the more the better to sell your photos.

As you can see in the image above on the left pane, there’s a tab for Payments to monitor your sales. But before you can sell of course you need to set first your own prices for each Instagram photos that you’ll sell online thru IGSkins.
