Mozilla Firefox 13 Is Now Available For Download
After a few months, 6 months to be exact, Mozilla developers have now released the latest version of their Mozilla Firefox web browser – Mozilla Firefox 13 for Windows and Mac. Well, if you have activated the auto-update features on your browser or if you check your About Firefox from the browser’s menu – you’ll still see the Firefox version 12. I guess the roll-out hasn’t been made globally yet and it is just starting to distribute the installer package on all of Mozilla’s servers or for some other reasons. When I checked my browser if it is up-to-date, it says yes (that the Firefox version 12 is the latest) but when I checked Mozilla’s official homepage there’s a new version – Firefox 13. And so I downloaded it and installed it on my computer to give it a shot. The Firefox 13 installer package size is 15.8MB binary file when I downloaded it.
Honestly speaking, I no longer use Firefox web browser that often as compared with Google Chrome. Even on my Samsung Galaxy S II, I pretty much prefer the Google Chrome for Android as compared to Firefox. So what could be the changes or major fixes that these Mozilla developers made with the latest update?

First hand, if you open a new tab (you won’t notice this if you have a default URL on your homepage) – you will notice those 9 grids with thumbnails representing the websites you visit the most. Well, on my screenshot below there’s none it is because I regularly delete my web browser cache.
If you are a Google Chrome user then this is not something new to you anymore.

Another noticeable feature of Firefox 13 is a much faster browsing or surfing experience – this is something that the team have been doing since Google Chrome came out. Since then, Google Chrome was considered as the fastest browser among others and I can attest to that.
