13 Malicious Android Apps That You Should Not Download – BEWARE!

Symantec Connect reported late last week a list of malicious Android apps which are currently lurking in the Android Market. These malicious Android apps (applications) was identified by the known Antivirus distributor, Symantec, and according to them these applications contains Android.Counterclank. The Android.Counterclank has been classified as a trojan horse designed for Android devices and being said so, its primary target is to steal the information stored in your smartphone. Symantec also cited some of the publishers who distributed these malicious apps in the Android Market, a perfect place or venue where almost all Android users downloads their application from this website.

The list malicious android apps from Symantec was discovered last 27th of January.  And from what I see, these apps will surely invite Android users to download them.  The categories looks tempting, they come in a form of Arcade & Action, Entertainment, Sports Games, Photography, Lifestyle, and Brain & Puzzle.  Who wouldn’t want to download an application that will a stripper upon touching the girl in the app. Or how about the famous strategy game Counter-strike.  Here are the list of Android publishers or developers who are distributing these malicious Android apps:

And here are the games detected as malicious Android apps according to Symantec:

  • Stripper Touch girl
  • Balloon Game
  • Deal & Be Millionaire
  • Wild Man
  • Pretty women lingerie puzzle
  • Sexy Girls Photo Game
  • Sexy Girls Puzzle
  • Sexy Women Puzzle

So check now your Android devices if you or someone planted the mentioned Android applications or applications from the cited publishers. If you have, then uninstall it and change your passwords (not on your smartphone) and secure your smartphone an antivirus.
