Sony Xperia ION Is Now On AT&T With HD Cameras and 4G LTE Enabled
Sony Xperia ION – Sony’s first 4G LTE device is now with AT&T and this device was first seen on the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012 in Las Vegas. If you notice, this is not a “Sony Ericsson” product anymore and this is all Sony mobile technology that we’re looking at. Sony hopes that the recent breakup of Sony and Ericsson will be buried from their consumers’ minds with this launching of their Sony Xperia ION. And if you want to have this device, reports says that Negri Electronics is now accepting pre-orders of this device. But before you ever decide, let us take a peek on what’s hot and what’s not with Sony Xperia ION.

As I’ve mentioned, this will be Sony’s first 4G LTE device and a product of Sony alone. This device sports a 4.6 inches touch display and powered by Bravia Engine to boost images taken outdoors. It also includes a 12MP rear autofocus camera powered by Sony Exmor R CMOS lens. And not only that, it also have a geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama features. Sony Xperia ION’s dimension is not bad as well with a 133mm x 68mm x 10.8mm and weighs at about 144g. It also have a 16GB internal memory and 1GB RAM for your file and images storage. A microSD card slot is also available which can handle up to 32GB. This device is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon. And of course, this is also an Android device built with Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread – but like any other new devices in the market it will be ready for the latest Android OS v.4.0 or ICS.

This Sony Xperia ION is quite a powerful device from Sony and it’s now available from Negri Electronics for an amount of $569.50 and note that this is the unlocked version. However, it is said that you have to be very careful with unlocked Sony Xperia Ion because it won’t work on T-Mobile’s 3G network. However, it will work just fine with AT&T’s 3G waves, or on UK’s frequencies and on some Asian countries.

For more information, you can pre-order now from Negri Electronics.
